Employment Partnerships
Work is more than just a way to generate income. Work provides us all with a sense of purpose and connects us to our community. For adults with mental illness, work boosts self-esteem and lays the foundation for independence. Vail Place connects members with employers in the community who are interested in work programs that help them find dedicated, reliable and long-term employees. We help our members with the job seeking process, increasing their chances of successfully finding a rewarding job. Current employment partners including both local and national brands, from TJ Maxx to Kowalski’s Supermarkets.
One employment program involves a partnership with a local restaurant, Sea Salt that has lasted for more than 8 years. Our cooperation with Sea Salt began in 2010 with 3 transitional positions and has since blossomed into a robust program offering Vail Place members summer employment as a way to reintroduce them to working and provide work experience.
